Child Center of Pennsylvania Honors Brian Houchins with Community Recognition Award

Mechanicsburg, PA – December 21, 2023

The Child Center of Pennsylvania is proud to announce  Brian Houchins  of Mechanicsburg as the recipient of the 2023 Community Recognition Award. This prestigious award is presented annually to a person who has demonstrated distinctive dedication to improving the lives of youngsters in our group.

Brian Houchins, a dedicated elementary faculty trainer and community volunteer, has been an unwavering advocate for children’s education and welfare. Over the previous ten years, his efforts have considerably impacted the lives of countless youngsters in Mechanicsburg and surrounding areas. Houchins’ initiatives embrace establishing a free after-school tutoring program for underprivileged students, weekend workshops specializing in literacy and numeracy expertise for at-risk youth, and leading a profitable community-driven marketing campaign to improve native playgrounds, guaranteeing safe and inclusive play spaces for all children.

The award ceremony might be held on January 15, 2024, at the Mechanicsburg Community Center. The event will feature speeches from local dignitaries, a presentation about Houchins’ contributions, and the award presentation.
